Beals Road
This project will focus on expanding the home’s livable space through a thoughtfully designed addition and a fully finished basement. The addition will enhance the main structure, creating a seamless extension that blends with the existing architecture while improving overall flow and functionality. The basement will be transformed into a comfortable and practical living area, featuring a new bedroom and full bathroom. Designed with both comfort and code compliance in mind, the space will include proper insulation, lighting, and layout to ensure it feels like a natural extension of the home rather than a secondary space.
The new bedroom will offer a private, quiet retreat, while the added bathroom will bring convenience and flexibility for guests or growing families. Every detail—from layout to finishes—will be carefully planned to maximize usability and long-term value. Ipswich Museum
This project features the addition of a new auditorium to an existing museum, designed to expand the institution’s capacity for public programming, events, and educational experiences. The new space enhances the museum’s functionality while respecting and complementing the character of the original building. The auditorium was thoughtfully designed to provide a flexible, state-of-the-art environment suitable for lectures, presentations, screenings, and community gatherings. Careful attention was given to acoustics, sightlines, and seating layout to ensure an optimal experience for both presenters and audiences.
Architecturally, the addition integrates seamlessly with the existing structure, balancing modern design elements with the museum’s established aesthetic. Materials, finishes, and transitions were selected to create a cohesive flow between old and new spaces. Supporting areas, including upgraded access points, circulation paths, and back-of-house functionality, were incorporated to improve overall usability and visitor experience. This addition not only increases the museum’s capacity but also elevates its ability to host dynamic programming, making it a more versatile and engaging destination for the community.
